Baptisms

In accordance with the directions of the Book of Common Prayer, it is especially appropriate that Holy Baptism be administered during regular church services on the following days: the Easter Vigil, Day of Pentecost, All Saints’ Sunday, and the Feast of the Baptism of our Lord, or when the bishop is present.  Membership and active participation in the life of the church are expected of candidates and sponsors.  If you or someone you know would like to arrange for the sacrament of baptism, please refer to our Baptismal Policy and contact the Parish Office at least one month in advance.

Weddings

The celebration and blessing of a marriage is administered within the context of the Holy Eucharist for communicant members of the parish who are regular in their participation and support of the church. If you are planning a wedding ceremony at St. John’s , please refer to our Wedding Policy and make your inquiry at the Parish Office at least three months in advance.  Generally, weddings are not celebrated during Advent and Lent.

Funerals

Burial services for communicant members of the parish are customarily held within the context of the Holy Eucharist.  Please contact the Parish Office upon the death of a loved one to make service arrangements.  If you would like to pre-plan your burial service, you may complete the form entitled A Service to You which is located on the literature table in the Parish Hall or contact the Parish Office for a copy.
