CAUTION: Text message NOT from Pastor Amanda

Another scam has appeared, this time in the form of a text message. The text message addresses the recipient by name asking for “a favor.” It requests that you text back as soon as receiving the message.

This is not from Amanda. The scammer attempts to create a sense of urgency by using phrases such as “immediately” or “as soon as you get this.” If you receive a text message like this from someone claiming to be Amanda, and it is from a number that you have not saved in your phone, it is most likely a scam. Do not respond, and delete the message.
