Stewardship: Giving Joyfully

Annual Pledge for 2019

How has being part of the St. John’s community made a difference in your life?

At our Cottage Gatherings in September and October, we shared stories about how our shared ministries give us joy, and we pondered what we might be able to do with even more resources.

And even if you weren’t able to join us, we’re hoping you’ll consider your own ministries at St. John’s Church.

At our Cottage Gatherings, at church, and via mail, we distributed “pledge packets,” invitations to make an annual pledge, led by God to give joyfully to support the mission and ministries of St. John’s, to make a difference in each other’s lives and in the lives of those in our Lancaster community, as well as our larger world community. Here are the components of that packet (click any item to open a copy):

We’ve been inspired by this instruction:

Each of us should give what we have decided in our heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

2 Corinthians 9:7

If you haven’t yet submitted your pledge, please mail it to the church office or place it in the offering plate at any service. You may get a pledge card from an usher or by calling the church office and asking to have one mailed to you. Thank you!
