Equilla Curry

Equilla began working at St. John’s as Parish Administrator in February 2020. She studied at Harrisburg Area Community College where she received an Associate Degree in Business Management. She also received a bachelor’s degree from Bucknell University in Accounting and is currently a Master of Divinity Student at Lancaster Theological Seminary.

Equilla gave her life to Christ at a very early age. She has served in many roles throughout the church from overseeing the Usher Board, Youth President, Executive Assistant to the Apostle to realizing her gift as a Prayer Warrior. Her favorite spiritual song is My Soul Been Anchored by Douglas Miller and her go to scripture is Revelations 3:8.

Passionate about serving others, Equilla has served as the Hospitality Chair since 2011 at her daughter’s school, York Country Day. She also has served on the York Country Day’s Parent Association Executive Board for the last 5 years: one year as the Vice President and the last four consecutive years as Treasurer. Formerly served as an Executive Director on the Young Thinkers of York Robotics Organization Board. She has assisted The City of Refuge International Ministries with their Church-wide Administrative and Communication efforts for all four of their locations in Michigan and Ohio. She currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Greeter’s Ministry, teaches bible study, and is a member of the New Member and Intercessory Prayer ministry at Cornerstone Baptist Church, in York, PA. In addition, Equilla also leads a prayer ministry called Prayer: It’s a Lifestyle.

In Equilla’s free time, she enjoys reading, shooting pool, traveling, and spending time with her family and close friends.

Grateful for the amazing assignment as a wife, a mother to two beautiful daughters, Dejunay and Jadaiya and a grandmother to one handsome grandson, Thomas.
