Stacey Catigano

Hi, there friends!

My name is Stacey and I am delighted to serve as deacon at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Lancaster! I also have the privilege of serving as a chaplain at Lancaster County Prison.

I was born in New York City and after 24 years of serving in the military, our family was ready to put some roots down and find a permanent home. My husband James and I believe with all our heart that the Lord brought us right here to Lancaster. Of all the marvelous places we have had the privilege of visiting, Lancaster has some of the most loving folks we ever met!

Both our children, now adults, proudly graduated from Penn State. Woot!  I first attended H.A.C.C and was then blessed with a generous scholarship to Elizabethtown College majoring in Religious Studies, while minoring in Peace and Conflict Studies and Ministry. I also attended the Stevenson School for Ministry, Hershey Medical Center and Pennsylvania’s Department of Corrections for my Clinical Pastoral Education. I was ordained a deacon on Sept. 26th 2020. Whew! Talk about God’s amazing grace!

A few other fun facts about me:

  • I am a ridiculously silly and proud grandmother to a three-year-old.
  • I am a huge animal lover.
  • I quilt and dabble in the visual arts.
  • I enjoy playing video games.
  • I am a HUGE LOTR nerd!!! (If you don’t know what “LOTR” means or don’t know J.R.R. Tolkien, please ask me! Lol)
  • I think PUNS are hilarious.

And finally, my husband and I know how to cook some Italian food. Seriously.

Please feel free to connect with me on Facebook. Or call, text, email or introduce yourself in person. I would love to hear some fun facts about you!

In gratitude,

Deacon Stacey D. Catigano
