St. John’s construction update: getting closer to “welcoming our future”

Construction continues to progress on St. John’s building project, Honoring Our Past, Welcoming Our Future. We look forward to providing a more inviting and accessible center for worship, fellowship and ministry; expanding our mission; and enriching the lives of our members and community.

very big thank you to St. John’s neighbors, and others who use our facilities, for your patience during the construction process. Here are a few things to expect, beginning on or around Wednesday, Oct. 18 through early in the week of Oct. 22:
  • Some jack-hammering (limited to 9 a.m.-5 p.m.) will be required. Our apologies for the noise.
  • Work on the Chestnut Street side of the building will commence, affecting street parking and sidewalk use during the day. The hope is to keep parking and sidewalk use open on evenings and weekends, as much as possible.
  • Work on the Mulberry Street sidewalk is scheduled for the first two weeks in November, impacting traffic Nov. 1-3.
  • St. John’s will be open as a polling place on Election Day, Nov. 7.
