Greetings St. John’s,
On December 23, St. John’s long time member and our dear friend, Debbie Carter entered the land of light and joy. Debbie’s imprint on our parish is deep and her death will be felt by many.
Debbie was a devoted choir member and bell choir ringer, a self-proclaimed “data diva” who kept records for more ministries than I can count, an extraordinary food pantry volunteer, and a generous and gracious disciple.
Debbie was surrounded by the love of family and friends in her final weeks and her legacy will live on through everyone she knew. A Celebration of her Life and Ministry will take place on Sunday, February 16th at 3:00 p.m. here at St. John’s, a reception will follow. Please keep Debbie’s family in your prayers in the days and weeks to come and join us on February 16th for a celebration like no other.
May Debbie rest in peace and rise in glory and may the saints in light surround her from every side.
God’s peace,
Amanda+

December 30, 2024 at 8:17 pmThank you so much, Amanda and the whole St. John’s community. You were such an important part of my mom’s life, and she treasured all of you. She was always so fulfilled by all of the wonderful work you do together. We look forward to celebrating her life with everyone in February.
