I found provocative a recent piece, “Having the talk I didn’t want to have,” by Elizabeth Eisenstadt-Evans, an Episcopal priest and writer.
By sharing it with St. John’s, my hope is that we wrestle with it, alone and together. Like her son, readers are invited to know, and to own, their own place in the world. It seems to me, for us as a people of faith, in light of our Baptismal Covenant, that invitation is especially important to engage.
