Evensong is the traditional Anglican service to be said or sung daily about “even” time. Thomas Cranmer combined the monastic prayer services of Vespers and Compline to create a beautiful and reflective series of readings, sung canticles (Biblical songs) and prayers. Over the centuries, this prayer service has become a favorite way of many to pray, worship and reflect while immersed in sacred art, the art of music and the timelessness of Scripture.
