Dear St. John’s family,
On Tuesday morning, January 3rd, Providence Eshelman departed this life for the greater life of God’s eternal presence. Her daughter, Jeannie Zeller, was by her side and holding her mother’s hand as she passed peacefully from this life to the next. Providence had been in good spirits and living comfortably at Masonic Village until her recent decline in health. She will be greatly missed by many.
We will celebrate the life and ministry of Providence Eshelman with a service of Burial and Holy Eucharist: Rite I at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 8th. A reception in the Parish Hall will immediately follow the service. Gifts in Providence’s memory may be directed to St. John’s Episcopal Church.
Let us remember Providence with great thanksgiving and hold Jeannie and her family in our prayers in their time of loss.
Rest eternal grant to her, O Lord; and may light perpetual shine upon her.
