Dear St. John’s family,
On Friday, February 16th, following a prolonged decline in health, Joan Lahr, faithful member of St. John’s passed from this life to the next. She was found by her son, Denny, seated peacefully in her living room.
Joan was the wife of Stan Lahr. Together they worshiped every Sunday with the 8:00 AM congregation. They are now together again in the great congregation.
We will celebrate Joan’s life of ministry at the Groff Family Funeral Home, 528 W. Orange Street, on Saturday, February 24th at 11:00 AM. Visitation with Joan’s family will be at 10:00 AM. Gifts in Joan’s memory may be sent to St. John’s Church.
Please remember Joan in your prayers with great thanksgiving and pray for the comfort of Christ’s loving presence for her family in their loss.
Rest eternal grant to her, O Lord; and my light perpetual shine upon her.
