I write to share with you two concerns for your prayers. First, Christine Cunningham, 77, sister to Father Stephen, died on Sunday. Christine, who resided in England, was Fr. Stephen’s last remaining sister. She was recovering from a recent surgery but her death was still somewhat unexpected. Fr. Stephen, Rayelenn and their daughters plan to fly to England for the funeral which is as yet unscheduled. Please hold Fr. Stephen and his family in your prayers. Second, Fr. J. Patrick Peters, rector of St. Paul’s in Columbia, suffered a stroke on Sunday. While the stroke was considered quite serious, he received very prompt medical treatment and is apparently doing well and anticipates a good outcome. Your prayers for Fr. Peters and his family are also invited.
