A play by the kids, for the kids was the headline of a Saturday LNP feature article on St. John’s Christmas pageant. The festive pageant is an eight-year tradition that brings together about 50 St. John’s and other community children who don costumes, beards and angel wings for the Christmas Eve 6:30 p.m. service. St. John’s will offer three services on Christmas Eve and one on Christmas Day:
Christmas Eve, Dec. 24
3:30 p.m.—Holy Eucharist, Rite I with St. John’s Hand Bell Choir and Christmas hymns.
(5 p.m. Family Lasagna Dinner — all are welcome!)
6:30 p.m.—Holy Eucharist, Rite II with Nativity Pageant and Christmas hymns.
10:30 p.m.—Festive Holy Eucharist, Rite II with Prelude of Carols with Lancaster Brass Quintet. Incense will be used at this service.
Christmas Day, Dec. 25
11:00 a.m.—Holy Eucharist, Rite I (Spoken)
