Members of 10 Episcopal Churches in the Lancaster Convocation will gather this Saturday, Oct. 4, for an All Lancaster Episcopal Response Team (ALERT) work day to help people in Lancaster County. The day will begin at 8 a.m. at St. Edward’s, Lancaster, with light refreshments and The Liturgy of the Word.
Teams will then disperse to work locations in the convocation for projects that include weeding, trimming bushes and trees, cleaning gutters, raking leaves and debris, spreading mulch, mending fences, and doing other minor repair work and cleaning. Please bring a brown bag lunch.
Work will conclude at 2:30 p.m. Participants will then gather at St. John’s, Lancaster, where the day’s work will be the Offertory for Holy Communion. Following the Eucharist, stories will be shared over a meal prepared by convocation members.
