Music at St. John’s

The Chancel Choir

St John’s Chancel Choir has a rich history of promoting singing and community. Ranging from Traditional to Gospel, this choir boasts and diverse range of musical styles. Rehearsing on Wednesday evenings at 7PM, the choir sings every Sunday 10:15AM service throughout the Ordinary Year, taking a summer recess from June through August. The Handbell Choir

St John’s Handbell Choir is a tight-knit community of ringers–ranging from trained musician to lay music-lover, this ensemble give access to all backgrounds of music. Rehearsing on Thursday evenings at 7PM, the Handbell Choir rings on Christmas Eve and throughout the year. For more information, contact Music Minister, Mark Herr at music@stjohns-lancaster.org!

Chara

St. John’s is blessed to have its very own folk music ensemble. Consisting of group of parishioners, this ensemble sings throughout the year, offering meaningful and heartfelt music on Sunday mornings and at at special services.
