It is with deep sadness that I send this notice that Nancy Puffer died on Saturday, April 8th at Conestoga View in Lancaster.
Nancy raised her sons, Craig and Steve, at St John’s. Recently, I sat “in the pew where we sat” with Craig, now an adult living in Buffalo, New York, as he recalled those years. Nancy was an active member of the Altar Guild until mobility issues limited her. She participated in Voyagers and believed that Voyagers was a vital group at St. John’s. Nancy’s greatest love was the knitting group, Martha’s Ministry, which she helped to establish. “She nurtured many a knitter,” as a constant presence between services on Sunday mornings at the knitting table in the Parish Hall.
There will be a “Time of Remembrance” offered for Nancy on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 in the Parish Hall beginning at 3:00 p.m. and hosted by the members of Martha’s Ministry.
