Dear St. John’s family,
I write to share with you a near tragedy, a great miracle, and to ask your prayers.
This past Friday afternoon while driving to the diocesan youth Happening weekend, Joe Way, our J2A leader, and two of our teens, Hal Williams and Danielle DiPace, were involved in a head on automobile accident just north of Harrisburg. The good news is that they are all going to be okay.
All were taken to the hospital for treatment, kept for observation and released on Sunday. Among other injuries Danielle suffered a broken collar bone, Hal injured his spleen, and Joe has a fractured vertebrate.
We give grateful and heartfelt thanks to God for protecting them and for the sparing of their lives, and for giving them the promise of full recovery. We also give thanks for the doctors, nurses, police and EMT’s who helped in making this miracle. We humbly pray for God’s continuing healing grace upon Hal, Danielle and Joe as they make their way back to full health. We pray also for their families who have shared this trauma and ask God’s care for them as they care for those they love.
I invite you to hold Hal, Danielle and Joe in your prayers, and with the prayers of our Bishop, Audrey, that they may continue their course of life as Christ’s faithful and loving servants.
Yours in Christ,
John+
