The time to act is now: 37 need our help

Two years ago, 12-15 families/individuals relied on St. John’s Food Bank. Last month, that number was up to 37. As Pastor Jennifer shared in last week’s sermon: “The need is real.  People are genuinely struggling.  The time to act is now.”  If you are able to donate food for our weekly door ministry, please consider these staples: peanut butter and jelly, pasta noodles and sauce, canned tuna, Spam, boxed macaroni and cheese, hamburger/tuna “Helpers,” rice, canned soup/vegetables/fruit, and cereal. Drop off  at the rear of the church on Sundays or at the church office during the week.

“Be dressed for action and have your lamps lit.  …be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an unexpected hour.”   Luke 12:35-37
