St. John’s continues its support of the Winter Shelter Program, a partnership between the Lancaster County Council of Churches and YWCA Lancaster, which provides a warm, safe, and dry place for homeless women and children to sleep from December through March.
Volunteers are needed to staff the shelter at the YWCA, 110 N. Lime St., Lancaster:
- During the early evening to set up, greet, register and help people settle in
- Overnight to assist…and oftejust to listen
- In the morning to help with check-out
