MFE Community Chorus Concert
Under the direction of Mr. Jonathan Shoff, the MFE Community Chorus will offer a dynamic performance, embodying the essence of community, peace, and hope. Part of Music For Everyone, a non-profit charitable organization with the mission to cultivate the power of music for education and community building, the chorus will explore diverse styles of music from around the world. A reception will follow in the parish hall.
MLK Day Kids’ Camp with guest percussionist Jeff Kuhn
“Space for Grace,” the theme of the kids’ camp, offers children opportunities to participate in interactive art, music, stories and sharing, and enjoy lunch and a birthday-cake celebration, all focused on keeping Dr. King’s legacy alive.
Percussionist Jeff Kuhn will lead drum circle workshops. Kuhn is known locally for his Bom-Da-Ti drumming programs—a unique experience where everyone participates. He will also share the history of Djembe drums and the role of music in the African culture.
