St. John’s friends,
I want you to know that Wednesday night I started to write a Reflections from the Pew about a conversation I had with my niece, Kailyn, on Christmas Day. However, while I was writing it, I got text from my sister, Leslie, about Debbie Reynolds passing away.
I immediately went to the YouTube site and looked for scenes from “Singin’ in the Rain.” I’m sharing with you two scenes that I believe are encouraging for the New Year.
The first is “Good Morning.” I pray and hope every member of St. John’s and their family and friends have a joyful 2017.
The second scene is near the ending of “Singin’ in the Rain” where three of the male characters show their support for the female character, who is played by Debbie Reynolds.
I hope and pray that in 2017 we are all stars…
