Dear St. John’s family,
It is with deep grief that I share with you the sad news of the sudden and unexpected death of Bill Cater, husband of Debbie Carter. Bill departed this life peacefully in his sleep early morning Thursday, July 6. Debbie received much immediate comfort from her St. John’s friends and more still from her family as they have begun to arrive.
A memorial service for Bill will be celebrated at St. John’s on Tuesday, July 11 at 2:00 PM. (Reports of doing the service on Wednesday are not correct.) A reception in the Parish Hall will follow the service. Debbie has asked that memorial gifts be directed to the Cater Fund, a scholarship fund for children, 3636 Woodview Trace, Indianapolis IN 46268 and the St. John’s Capital Fund.
Debbie very much appreciates all your expressions of support. Please hold her and the family in your prayers as we lift up the life of Bill Cater with thanksgiving. Rest eternal grant to him, O Lord; and may light perpetual shine upon him. John+

Bill will most certainly be missed on multiple levels and St. John’s has lost a member that can not be replaced.
