Aaron Spicher at Hamilton Arms

Dear St. John’s family,

I am pleased to share with you that Aaron Spicher, our Verger, is no longer at Lancaster General Hospital. He has been transferred to Hamilton Arms where he is receiving rehabilitation therapy. Aaron reports that he has walked sixty yards using his walker. He is comfortable. His pain is decreasing. He is eating and sleeping well.

Aaron will be meeting this week with his oncology doctor to discuss what approach to take in fighting the cancer. Cancer has been located in both of his hips, his rib cage and his kidneys.

A member of the clergy or staff are visiting Aaron every day and delivering to Aaron the many cards and notes that we have received at St. John’s in care of Aaron. Your messages and prayers are very important to Aaron. Please keep them coming as we will continue to keep you informed.

Thanks, John+

Dear Aaron, we are very sorry that you are suffering. Please know that we are members of what must be a huge crowd of well wishers praying for your comfort.
Thank you for helping make our introduction to the St Johs’s family so pleasant. There will always be a warm recollection of you walking down the side aisle before service and stopping to greet us. That meant a lot to us…you mean a lot to us. Love ‘n hugs, Barb and Wayne
