Dear St. John’s family,
On New Year’s Eve, we lost one of our loving servants of Christ, Nelson Craige. Following a two-year struggle with Alzheimer’s disease, Nels passed peacefully from this life to the next surrounded by those he loved.
Nels was not only a member of St. John’s, he also had held membership at St. James, St. Thomas and St. Edwards Episcopal churches. As a parishioner, he served variously as a vestryman, warden and treasurer. He was a part of the diocesan emergency response teams following hurricanes Andrew and Katrina.
We will gather with Nelson’s family to remember and celebrate his life and service on Friday, Jan. 23 at 11 a.m. Please hold Nels and the Craige family in your prayers.
Rest eternal grant to him and may light perpetual shine upon him.
