Walking the walk

Tomorrow, Sunday Oct. 20, a team from St. John’s will participate in Lancaster’s annual Crop Walk, kicking off from Clipper Magazine Stadium at 12:45 p.m. It’s not too late to get involved as a walker or supporter.  Envelopes will be available in each pew and can be placed in the offering plate. Food pantry in need

Yesterday our food pantry ran out of several items we normally include in food packages. We were unable to serve all who came to our door. Could you help by supplying canned vegetables, pork & beans, canned soup, tuna or cereal? In addition, there is always need for peanut butter.

Oct. 11 Popcorn Theology: Escape Fire

Harvest Hootenanny, Sunday, Oct. 6

Celebrate the bounty that is our St. John’s community at the Harvest Hootenanny – an event for all ages – Oct. 6 at noon in the Parish Hall. “Hootenanny” is a Scottish word meaning celebration, usually with a musical component. We’ll be sharing the music of mission, ministry and friendship through storytelling in many forms.…

Congratulations!

Marylee Sauder was elected by the vestry at Monday’s meeting to fill a membership vacancy in the 2013.  Marylee will serve as the vestry Steward for Communications. Charlotte Weaver-Gelzer has been chosen by the Standing Committee of the Diocese to be the Chair of the Search Committee for the next Bishop of Central Pennsylvania.
