Plan to attend our fall parish meeting this Sunday, Nov. 13 from 9:15-10 a.m. in the Parish Hall. We will elect new vestry members from a slate of excellent candidates: Tom Bond, Glenn Miller, Peter Novosel and Bruce Waskowicz.
We will also receive a full financial picture of our parish. Rob Ashton, Treasurer, will report on our finances of 2016. Sherry Qualls, Finance Committee Chair, will present the draft 2017 budget. Bruce Waskowicz, vestry Steward for Stewardship, will give an update on our 2017 pledge drive.
Rosemary Coverly of our Capital Campaign will offer a snapshot of gifts received and plans for the future. Scott Qualls, representing the Construction Loan Committee, will share where we are in our negotiations with banks. Doug Brown, Construction Committee Chair, will break down both the bricks and mortar, and the dollars and cents, following “value engineering.”
We believe we will have enough time to cover all this material, and allow time for full discussion. If there are questions that remain or conversation that needs to continue, we will hold a follow-up Special Meeting in December. Additionally, it has been suggested we hold a “Stewardship Brainstorm” in Becker House next Sunday, Nov. 20 from 9:15-10 a.m.
