Last night, we had our first of four “cottage gatherings”; 13 of us gathered at the home of Pam & Ted Loose. After about an hour of food, drink, and fellowship on their lovely patio (with perfect weather!), we gathered inside to share some stories: why we came to St. John’s, why we’ve stayed, and what exciting things God might be leading us to do as a faith community. And as we were leaving, we picked up our packets of pledge info.
We hope the rest of you will be able to find a date (from the remaining 3 gatherings, which are listed below) to join us, and please contact the host so that we know you’re coming. (Note: All gatherings are open to everyone. The Saturday morning gathering isn’t just for seniors!)
On our Stewardship Sundays, October 1st and 8th, we’ll continue to ponder the question “What is God calling us to at St. John’s?” We hope you will also ponder this privately, through prayer and discussions with your family. On October 8th, Ingathering Sunday, we will join together and offer our pledges.
