Spring ahead into a busy weekend at St. John’s

It will be a busy weekend at St. John’s. Hope you can be part of some or all of the activities.

Friday, March 11
: St. John’s hosts the Ecumenical Cluster Lenten luncheon. Fr. Stephen Kelley, St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, is the guest preacher, reflecting on the hymn,”The Glory of These Forty Days.” All are welcome. $5 donation. Click here to listen to the hymn.

Saturday, March 12
: St. John’s Spring Clean-up Day. Join the Property Committee, 9 a.m.-noon to prepare our building and grounds for Holy Week and Easter. Any amount of time you can give will be greatly appreciated as we polish pews, wash windows, and tidy the exterior grounds.

Come back from 5-8:30 p.m. for the J2A Spaghetti Dinner, Talent Show & Silent Auction. A fun time is guaranteed! Tickets: $8/adult; $4/child; $20 maximum/family.

Sunday, March 13: Remember to set your clocks an hour ahead for Daylight Saving Time Don’t miss our morning services!

Our last Lenten Sunday evening gathering, “Celebration Dinner–A Taste of Africa,” will begin with a Rafiki buffet at 5 p.m., and continue with the Kindness Calendar, games, and the Labyrinth Walk. Requested donation for the meal is $10/adults and $5/13 years and under. All profits will support the Rafiki food stand at Central Market. What a great way to support St. John’s Rafiki partnership mission.
