St. John’s to host film, From the Ashes, June 23

St. John’s Episcopal Church, 321 W. Chestnut Street, Lancaster, will host the Lancaster Interchurch Peace Witness (LIPW) showing of the one-hour film FROM THE ASHES  Friday, June 23, at 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.

This 2017 documentary wrestles with the legacy of the coal industry and goes beyond the rhetoric to present compelling stories about what’s at stake for our economy, health and climate.

Discussion will follow the film for those who want to stay.

Join others in the air-conditioned Parish Hall for light refreshment – lemonade and popcorn – and an eye-opening view of this climate topic. Enter through the doors on Chestnut Street. The church parking lot is on Mulberry Street. Street parking is also available.

Handicap parking and entrance to the Parish Hall are accessible from the church’s Concord Street lot.

All are heartily welcome.  No cost.
